Chemistry at Nanoscale Patterns
Min Hyung Lee
Nanoscale patterning tools are very useful for researchers to explore interesting fundamental science and applications by controlling a variety of materials at the 100-nm scale. In this talk, I will introduce soft lithography, a collection of unconventional nanopatterning methods based on molding, printing, and embossing with a polymeric stamp. Soft lithography is low in cost and easily accessible to chemists and biologists without special facilities, enabling further exploration into applications in these fields. As a demonstration, I will discuss how soft lithography can enhance research in the following applications: 1) plasmonic sensing, 2) artificial photosynthesis, and 3) molecular printing.
